Nexist
Nexist is a collaborative learning environment written as a client-server application in Java. Students use the Nexist environment to propose ideas which are then responded to by other students with related discussions and other resources either to support or dispute the original proposition. Nexist makes use of a topic map structure persisted in a relational database to hold all of the information relating to propsed ideas and the discussions and related resources. Nexist also has a plugin to allow direct editing of the XTM information - thus providing a multi-user collaborative topic map editing environment.
